After a first decade which culminated in the Olympia Retrospective of June 1980, Magma took over Bobino for 3 weeks in may 1891 and thus commenced a new phase in its musical evolution. Most of the pieces presented here have never been recorded in the studio, notably the electric version of ” Zess “, illuminated by the vocal prowess of Christian Vander and the furious madness of Jean-Luc Chevalier’s guitar playing. This alone justifies the purchase of this DVD which bursts with incredible energy.
